Festive Christmas Tree Chocolate Cupcakes
So today was a Sunday off and the girls wanted to bake Christmas cupcakes. If you follow the blog you know I have a great, go-to chocolate cupcake recipe. It was just a matter of finding some fun way to decorate them. Flicking through magazines and online in the run to the festive season is a great way to find inspiration and I had already seen an idea for Christmas Tree light cakes I wanted to put a spin on. We all got to work and created a recipe!

Aunty Mary’s Christmas Pudding Recipe
As I was growing up, we followed the tradition as my family got together in the kitchen. Everyone took a turn to stir the large bowl of pudding mix. You then make a special wish for the year ahead. Your pudding mix is stirred from East to West in honour of the three wise men. Some people add a silver coin, a sixpence, to the pudding mix, finding the coin brings good luck. The Christmas pudding is one of the essential British Christmas culinary traditions.

Triple Chocolate Christmas Pudding Cookies
Why Christmas Pudding Triple Chocolate Cookies? The family loves baking biscuits and cookies ( and eating them! ) and this year I wanted to do something different. As the girls are getting a little older, we can be a bit more ambitious in our bakes and these are really delicious. Who doesn’t like a classic slightly chewy chocolate cookie loaded with chocolate pieces?

My Homemade Buttery Mince Pies
Mince pies are a peculiarly British individual pie now eaten across the English speaking world. They are traditionally served over the Christmas period. Although in America they are more likely to be made in large tart cases and eaten at Thanksgiving. It is thought the name is derived from mince meat and preserved fruit pies first bought back during the crusades.

The Best Ever Christmas Tree Brownies
This recipe is for the best ever chocolate brownie you will taste. You could have found it on the menu of every kitchen I’ve been involved with for the last ten years. A chocolate brownie is a rich, sticky, almost gooey, dark chocolate cake normally baked in a tray. You make brownies using one or more types of chocolate and cocoa powder for an extra chocolate hit. For variety you can add extra chocolate pieces or buttons and nuts added before cooking.
