Dad to two fabulous daughters and three cantankerous furballs, lucky partner, bit of a chef, onetime restaurant manager, and qualified trainer. I live and work in the Channel Islands with my beautiful family; long-suffering Soupy, two daughters, a fat cat called Cheddar, and two scrappy Greek kittens. I’ve now worked on six islands, hence the title of the blog, and in probably just about every type of restaurant you can imagine. From beachside burger joints to famous pizza and jazz joints, and in more than a few really good food pubs, historic country inns, and a former RAC Blue Ribbon UK Hotel of the Year.

I am lucky enough to live and work in Jersey so I can create recipes like my fabulous grilled Jersey Oysters with Liberation Blonde Ale and a make a stunning version of Ratatouille using the island’s best summer produce, aubergines, courgettes
There are amazing artisan food and drink producers as well as the growers, farmers and fishermen across Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm. They make fantastic cakes, pickles, curry sauces, sweets, milk and cheese and small batch gin. They grow and catch hand-dived scallops, oysters, sumptuous seafood, the world famous Jersey Royals, rare breed pigs and Jersey and Guernsey cattle.
